Our Story...
Dreaming Mountain is a private eco-retreat center with 372 acres of woodlands, pastures, organic gardens, orchards, ponds and streams--showcasing an evolving model of wild forest management, permaculture, and diversity.
Our eco-friendly property is a sanctuary for humans and nature alike. We make every effort to leave the mountain's natural environment undisturbed as a wildlife corridor.
By closely following our values, Dreaming Mountain nurtures a peaceful space for our guests to retreat into the beauty of the Green Mountains.
We are committed to providing genuine experiences with our unique accommodations--the stunning structural features of the main house make visiting this property an event in itself. The main house – located one mile up a secluded private road – is passive solar with two large bedrooms, Pennsylvania red slate stonework, two and a half unique baths, a multi-use grand hall with fireplace, regal staircase and gorgeous views of the Green Mountains through a southern wall of glass French doors. The second story opens out onto the living green roof & slate patio with handmade clay outdoor oven--perfect for baking pizzas!
The property also includes pond view apartment, mountain view rooms, a small meditation cabin, and two yurts--all are available to rent by the week or the month.
With meeting spaces, art & ceramic studio, organic flower, herb and vegetable gardens and orchards--Dreaming Mountain is the ideal setting for your Vermont wedding, retreat, or self-directed artist residency.
